"Henry’s name is above the title and, to be sure, he’s good. But Ms Moodie, a graduate of the Royal Academy Of Dramatic Art, is luminous. Her sassy Rose has a quiet dignity that turns to fury in the second act when she learns how her husband Troy has betrayed her...Moodie’s name deserves a bigger spotlight."
Baz Bamigboye, The Daily Mail. 5 July, 2013 http://dailym.ai/1fzgbMB
"It was Tanya Moodie as Rose, Troy’s sassy, softly spoken wife, that struck me as having the greater emotional depth. My teenaged neighbour sobbed at a heart-piercing moment in the second act when a betrayed Rose, the foundations of her life having shifted seismically, mines deep within herself to hold fast to her humanity and dignity."
Patricia Nicol, The Sunday Times. 7 July 2013 http://thetim.es/13uEDvW
"The cast is uniformly excellent. Henry’s performance as Troy would not be possible without the support of Tanya Moodie as the long-suffering matriarch, Rose."
Jane Shilling, The Telegraph. 27 June 2013 http://bit.ly/111v3ir
"...the gracious and sometimes fierce Rose (Tanya Moodie), excellent."
Henry Hitchings, The Evening Standard. 27 June 2013 http://bit.ly/18i0qrn
"Tanya Moodie is a marvellous study in humour, sensuality and firm character." L ibby Purves, The Times. 28 June 2013 http://thetim.es/17H0Lo9
"Tanya Moodie's magnificent portrayal of Troy's wife, Rose, represents the spine of the family, bridging the generations, and committing an act of maternal generosity that saves Troy's bacon."
Micheal Coveney, What's On Stage. 27 June 2013 http://bit.ly/180lel8
"Tanya Moodie particularly wonderful as Troy’s wife Rose, a woman whose radiant decency shines a light into Troy’s deep flaws." Andrzej Lukowski, Time Out. 27 June 2013 http://bit.ly/10Vm7uX
"As Rose, Tanya Moodie is also stunning: a hip-rolling coquette with frustrations of her own that spill out when her tolerance bursts. Her giggling joy at the reappearance of the banished Cory caused this critic's glasses to steam up."
Simon Edge, The Express. 28 June 2013 http://bit.ly/14znbBx
"...the heroic efforts of the rest of the cast, and of Moodie in particular who makes Rose seem fierce and resigned"
The Guardian http://bit.ly/16XCK9U
"The heart of the play is strong enough to keep it very much alive, embodied by the role of Troy’s wife, Rose. In this part Tanya Moodie gives a tremendous performance, formidable yet bowed by Troy’s force, Rose’s plight and passion are truly moving. As her husband’s legacy is examined in the final act, it’s Rose you really want to hear from. Wilson leaves you wanting more – a sure sign of success."
